I was born and raised in Central Nebraska where I learned early the importance of hard work and community. I graduated from UNL College of Law in 1992 and have worked as a prosecutor for 33 years. During that time, I spent 16 years as a Deputy Lancaster County Attorney and have served as a Deputy Douglas County Attorney since 2012. I have tried over 150 jury trials in my career to include homicides, violent crimes, sexual assaults, property crimes and drug cases. There are real survivors behind the stories you hear and I have worked to bring them the justice that they rightly deserve. Lastly, outside of the office, I am an adjunct professor teaching trial practice at UNL College of Law, sharing my love of trial work with soon to be new attorneys. My husband, Dave Ulferts and I enjoy spending time with our two adult daughters, Eben and Anna.
